Poetry Porch: Poetry

No Picture
by Ted Richer

I have no picture of you —

. . .

I need one for the coffin.

. . .

You could draw it —

. . .

Or paint it.

. . .

You could take a photograph —

. . .

A snapshot —

. . .

Or a selfie.

. . .

You could make one any size —

. . .

Large.

. . .

Small.

. . .

Still it must fit my coffin —

. . .

A plain wooden box.

. . .

You could write a love poem on the back —

. . .

Or you could leave it blank.
