Poetry Porch: Poetry

“We work in the dark—we do what we can—we give what we have.
Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task.”
“The Middle Years”
Henry James

My little boat of raspberry wood has set off from the shore;

High on the rooftop, a lone bird watches;

And though a cold winter wind blows upon the morning,

Inside, by the hearth, I nurture my dreams.
