Poetry Porch: Poetry

In re the couplet . . .
by Fred Marchant

1.

let your words linger on my lips,

      the pair slightly parted

2.

I have always loved the 2 dollar

bill, two for the paper of 1

3.

deuces wild, jacks or better

      to open, and the push

4.

lung, kidney, eye, ear, teste, ovary,

      one is never enough

5.

the threesomes and beyond only

      for the very young

6.

under a blanket, tv murders on,

      us two, never happier
